Cheesehead Teams Compete in State Tournaments

The teams from the 2010 Cheesehead have wrapped up their state tournament series.

Winning Team State Titles: Apple Valley (MN AAA), Brandon (FL), Simley (MN AA), Montini (IL AA), and Wyoming Seminary (PA Prep).

State Team Runner-up: Milton (WI Div. 1), Pewaukee (WI Div. 2), and Wyoming Seminary (National Preps)

Team State Qualifier and Placings: Kenyon-Wannimingo (MN A Individual State Tournament 2nd), Walsh Jesuit (OH Div. 2 7th place), Plainfield Central (IL AAA Qualifier), Kaukauna (WI Div. 1 State Semi Finals), Wausau West (WI Div. 1 Qualifier), and Muskego (WI Div. 1 Qualifier)

Apple Valley Wins 2010 Cheesehead

After two days of wrestling, Apple Valley is the 2010 Cheesehead Champion!!!

The Outstanding wrestler award went to Jake Sueflohn from Hartland Arrowhead.

The Donald Straus sportsmanship award went to Kenyon Wanamingo, MN.

Seeds and Brackets Released

The seeds and brackets for the 2010 Cheesehead have been released. Go to trackwrestling.com to follow the action.

Wrestlers have been put into a 32 man seeded bracket. Winners will be put into 4 championship pools, while the losers go into consolation pools. After the championship pools have wrestled, the top two wrestlers go into an 8 man bracket with a full wrestle back to third. The bottom two wrestlers in the championship pools go into a seperate 8 man bracket for 9th place.
